How to lay tiles

Habibi tiles are supplied either loose or as pre-assembled panels. The methods for laying these tiles differ and are explained below:

Loose tiles:  These are easy to cut using a tile cutter.  Unlike most other tiles, which are machine made, Moroccan tiles are handmade and look better when laid without a space between them. Due to the fact the thickness of these tiles can vary, you should allow at least 5mm for the application of the adhesive.  The tile adhesive we recommend is Ardurit X7.  Once the tiles are laid they should be grouted with a light grey grout (we recommend Ardurit X4).

Pre-assembled panels and borders:  The advantage of these panels is that they come in a jigsaw format to fit your given dimensions perfectly.  The size of the panels will vary depending on whether they are to be laid on a floor or on a wall.  These panels and borders will arrive numbered and come with a plan in order to facilitate the laying process. The tile adhesive and grout recommended is as above.
